Live Music, Free Beer, and Many Bargains
The leaves may not be turning colors this year, but it’s
Autumn, and that means Euclid Records is ready to haul out thousands of CDs and
records to the sidewalks around the store, to slash prices 10% on everything
inside the store, and to present ten of the finest bands in St. Louis on our stage. Oct. 13 & 14 is
the annual Fall Sidewalk and Storewide Sale Music Festival. We’ve got a great
line-up of bands, and a terrific selection of music for people to browse and
hunt for bargains. Euclid Records is located at 601 E. Lockwood in Webster Groves, and will
be open from 10 AM to 9 pm on Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
The live music schedule for Saturday, Oct. 13 is: 12 noon –
Fumer. 1 pm - Bruiser Queen. 2 pm - TBA. 3 pm – Union Electric. 4 pm – TBA. The
schedule for Sunday, Oct. 14 is: 12 noon – The Vondrukes. 1 pm – Breakmouth
Annie. 2 pm – The Jungle Fire. 3 pm – Cuban Missiles. 4 pm – Brothers Lazaroff.
Over the years, Euclid Records has accumulated thousands of
CDs which have simply not been deemed likely to generate much income. It’s time
to make room by cleaning out under our bins, and letting these CDs go for .25
cents apiece. This doesn’t mean these CDs are junk, although, frankly, some of
them really are. It does mean that customers can take chances on artists they
may have heard of but never heard, or on albums that simply look good. And, if
the music is bad, CDs can be used to make lovely mobiles which reflect the
light in your living room quite nicely.
In addition, we’ll be hauling up plenty of interesting used
LPs at very reasonable prices, and everything inside the store will be 10% off
(unless it’s already marked down – we’re not here to lose money). And our good
friends at Pabst Blue Ribbon will be providing free beers for those over the
age of 21.
