THE SIGHTS LIVE AT EUCLID 10" AVAILABLE DECEMBER 23

Euclid Records is ecstatic to announce the release on Dec. 23 of our first 10” EP from the Euclid Sessions series of live recordings done in our shop. The Sights are Detroit's kings of kick ass, power chord, garage heavy, take no prisoners Rock and Roll. When they came to play last May, their set was so fiery, so furious, so gosh-darned tremendous we couldn’t stop at just releasing two songs. Thus we have the Sights “Live at Euclid Records.”

Not only does this EP contain Sights classics “Happy” (from their 2005 self-titled album) “Hello to Everybody,” and “Take and Take” (both from their recent release, “Most of What Follows is True”), but this is the only place to get a recording of their version of Nolan Strong’s “My Heart Will Always Belong To You.”

But wait! We didn’t just throw these four songs on a record and call it a day. No siree, the art department here at Euclid had a field day. Taking their cue from the Who’s “Live at Leeds” original package, the Sights “Live at Euclid” contains a nice collection of inserts, including a beautiful 20” poster, an all access pass facsimile, a band payment sheet from a gig in London, the lyric sheet for performing “My Heart Will Always Belong To You,” a (lack of) royalty statement from their first album, a review clip from a newspaper, and a Canadian immigration form.

The Sights were formed in 1998, and have undergone a series of personnel changes with frontman Eddie Baranek a constant presence. They released three albums of infectious riff-laden melodic rock’n’roll in the early years of the past decade – “Are You Green?”, “Got What You Want,” and “The Sights.” This year, the now four-piece band has returned with a new disc, “Most of What Follows Is True.”

This latest release in the Euclid Sessions series is, like all the others, strictly limited to only 300 copies. Because of the limited run, we will sell only one copy per customer. $1 for each one pressed is donated to the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund (NOMRF) to benefit musicians displaced or suffering loss of equipment in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Euclid Records has a website devoted to the series:
www.euclidsessions.com. Here you can find out about upcoming in-store events, read up on past events, subscribe to the series or order/pre-order upcoming 45's.

The 10”, like the 45’s, will be sold exclusively at the St. Louis and New Orleans Euclid Records stores, and websites (www.euclidrecords.com, and www.euclidnola.com).
